The 21st Cantonal English Language Competition for 9th grade primary school students in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, organised by the Pedagogical Institute Zenica, took place on 17 May 2025 at Primary School “15. april” Doboj – Kakanj (Link).
Students and staff of the school, led by the headmistress, wholeheartedly did their best to make this Competition memorable for all the participants and guests.
As a part of the welcoming programme host students and teachers showed their versatile talents and creativity while a visit to Kraljeva Sutjeska, a place of immensely rich tradition, was a particularly impressive experience. The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Zenica-Doboj Canton was a sponsor.
Headmistress Nizama Marušić and the coordinator of the organisation and implementation of the Competition Sanja Hadžihajdić, an expert advisor for education at the Pedagogical Institute Zenica delivered welcoming speeches and opened the Competition.
Twenty-seven students from 22 primary schools, who were winners in municipal/city competitions held on 26 April 2025, participated in the Cantonal Competition. These talented and diligent students and their teachers put a lot of effort in their success and experienced satisfaction with their achievements, because the very participation in the Cantonal Competition was already a great success and they proudly represented their school and municipality/city.
The three most successful students at the 21st Cantonal English Language Competition for Primary School Students in the Zenica-Doboj Canton were:
1. Skenderović Esma, Primary School „Safvet-beg Bašagić“ Visoko
2. Oruč Maida, Primary School „Miroslav Krleža“ Zenica
3. Kadribašić Amila, Primary School „Mak Dizdar“ Zenica
