Application of Project-Based Learning in Work with Students

The Pedagogical Institute Zenica, in cooperation with the International Association “Interactive Open Schools” (MIOS) Tuzla, within the project “Strengthening the School System in Three Cantons through Teacher Training and the School Model”, organized an online training on the topic Application of Project-Based Learning in Work with Students, which was held on January 12 and 13, 2026.

From the Zenica-Doboj Canton, the training was attended by teachers from model schools including Primary School “September 9” Tešanj and the Second Primary School Zavidovići, as well as teachers from primary schools in the municipalities of Olovo and Vereš.

During the two-day training, participants had the opportunity to become familiar with the basics of project-based learning, exchange experiences and good practices, develop ideas for implementing projects in their schools, and discuss the challenges and opportunities that this approach brings to modern education.

Through interactive workshops and practical examples, it was demonstrated how project-based learning can contribute to greater student motivation, the development of critical thinking, and the strengthening of collaborative skills.
