Pedagogical Institute Zenica, in cooperation with the Educational Center for Democracy and Human Rights “CIVITAS”, successfully implemented the Cantonal Competition for primary and secondary schools entitled “Project Citizen/I am a Citizen”. This significant event, aimed at promoting civic awareness, democracy and active participation of young people in society, brought together students and teachers from eight primary and nine secondary schools in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
The competition for primary schools was held on 14 and 15 April 2025, and the first three places were won by:
1. Primary School “Safvet-beg Bašagić” Breza,
2. Primary School “Skender Kulenović” Zenica and
3. Primary School “Olovo” Olovo.
The competition for secondary schools was held on 16 and 17 April 2025, and the first three places were won by:
1. Grammar School “Rizah Odžečkić” Zavidovići,
2. First Grammar School Zenica and
3. Grammar School “Musa Ćazim Ćatić” Tešanj.
The “Citizen Project/I am a Citizen” competition highlighted the creativity and dedication of the participants, who through practical projects demonstrated an understanding of problems in the local community and proposed innovative solutions.
