On September 24, 2024, a round table with a panel discussion was held at the Zenica Hotel on the topic “Challenges and perspectives of higher education in the Zenica-Doboj Canton through the prism of the development of the University of Zenica”.
The panelists were Prof. Dr. Jusuf Duraković, Rector of the University of Zenica, Mirza Mušija, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Mirsad Ćeman, Judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Venan Hadžiselimović, General Manager of the company “HIFA OIL” doo and Aida Salkić, Director of the Pedagogical Institute Zenica.
The moderator was Prof. Larisa Velić, PhD, Chairwoman of the Senate of the University of Zenica and Dean of the Faculty of Law.
In a constructive discussion that lasted more than three hours, the participants discussed infrastructure investments, namely the construction of the University Campus through capital investments, the analysis of existing study programs and the need to open new ones, as well as the employment of young staff in the teaching process and filling vacant positions among non-teaching staff.
