The eleventh annual eTwinning Conference under the slogan ”eTwinning Connects Us” was held on 8 and 9 October 2025 in Sarajevo, during which the Agency for Preschool, Primary and Secondary Education of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented the results of the eTwinning programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina and awarded awards to outstanding eTwinners. The conference was officially opened by Maja Stojkić, Director of the Agency for Preschool, Primary and Secondary Education as the State Organization for eTwinning Support in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On behalf of the Pedagogical Institute of Zenica, the conference was attended by Aida Salkić, Director, and Amila Herceg Hodžić and Aldiana Nuhanović, eTwinning Coordinators for the Zenica-Doboj Canton. The two days dedicated to education, inspiration and networking were spent in a good atmosphere.
eTwinning is a community of educational institutions in Europe that connects teachers with the aim of jointly initiating and implementing projects, exchanging ideas and examples of good practice, connecting students and achieving better results with students. eTwinning promotes school cooperation using information and communication technologies. communication technologies, thus developing teachers’ digital competences, providing support, tools and services, and opportunities for free and continuous online professional development. The eTwinning platform provides the opportunity to modernize teaching and is recognized as one of the tools for achieving learning outcomes.
The second day of the conference was also reserved for the eTwinning rearview mirror section, in which the Deputy Director of the Agency for Preschool, Primary and Secondary Education and the State eTwinning Coordinator Aida Terzić presented the eTwinning activities that the Agency has carried out in the past period. Also, coordinators from the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Tuzla Canton presented a review of the activities and achievements to date in their regions, providing insight into the concrete results of work in the field.
