On November 5, 2025, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Erasmus+ Programme Office in BiH, organized the Erasmus+ Programme Days at the Mixed Secondary School Zenica. The event was dedicated to promoting the opportunities Erasmus+ offers in the field of vocational education and training (VET).
The event was attended by representatives of vocational secondary schools and universities from across Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as representatives of the Pedagogical Institute Zenica.
Suad Muhibić, Head of the Erasmus+ Programme Office in BiH, presented Erasmus+ actions in the field of vocational education, including capacity building in VET, centers of excellence, cooperation partnerships, and alliances for innovation. Aida Džeferović, representative of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, introduced the possibilities of the Erasmus+ Europass network, aiming to facilitate access to European educational standards for educational institutions, especially vocational secondary schools.
Following the presentations, participants engaged in a Q&A session and discussion, during which concrete steps for involvement in Erasmus+ projects were clarified.
Examples of good practice were shared by representatives of secondary schools from Zenica and Doboj. The event also included education advisors from the Pedagogical Institute Zenica, and Amila Herceg Hodžić, advisor for inclusive education, presented the Institute’s participation in Erasmus+ programmes.
The Erasmus+ Programme Days in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2025, held in Zenica, proved to be a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge, experiences, and opportunities in vocational education. Through expert presentations, interactive discussions, and showcases of good practice, participants received practical information on how to engage in Erasmus+ projects, further strengthening the capacity of educational institutions in BiH. The event reaffirmed the importance of international cooperation, continuous investment in education, development of student and teacher competencies, and preparing students for the labour market.
