The Zenica Pedagogical Institute, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the framework of the project “Better Governance for Faster Economic Growth” (EGG2), funded by the Government of the Kingdom of Norway and implemented by UNDP BiH, organized the final ceremony of awarding certificates to teachers of informatics and subjects from the information and communication elective area on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Within the framework of the aforementioned project, the activity “Improving IT Education in Secondary Schools” was carried out together with the Bit Alliance, which was successfully completed by 11 teachers from the Zenica-Doboj Canton. In the introductory part of the ceremony, the teachers were addressed by Renaud Mayer, UNDP Resident Representative, Aida Salkić, Director of the Zenica Pedagogical Institute, and Damir Maglajlić, Director of the Bit Alliance, who also presented the certificates to the teachers.
With the aim of improving the quality of the teaching process, comprehensive teaching materials for eight thematic units of the ICT area were created through months of work, 30 teacher training modules were implemented and 152 hours of mentoring were provided.
Sincere congratulations to all teachers on successfully obtaining ICT certificates. This is a great indicator of your commitment to professional development. The new knowledge and skills you have acquired will certainly contribute to a more innovative approach to teaching and preparing students for the future in the digital age.
