Information and Consultation Meeting: Torino Process 2022-2024.

Bosnia and Herzegovina actively participates in the Torino Process – the evaluation of secondary vocational education and training, which is carried out every other year together with the European Training Foundation (ETF) and its partner countries. This cycle of the Torino Process is specifically focused on monitoring the effectiveness of VET in providing opportunities for lifelong learning (Level 1 of the Torino Process), and the analysis of policies and practices that may have an impact on effectiveness (Level 2 of the Torino Process).

On June 22, 2023 a national meeting of the Torino Process for information and consultation was held in Sarajevo, where the results of the monitoring for Bosnia and Herzegovina were presented and discussed, and together with domestic and international participants, an analysis for lifelong learning within the framework of the Torino Process in our country was launched. The participants of the meeting were representatives of pedagogical institutes, the Agency for Preschool, Primary and Secondary Education, the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, cantonal ministries of education, the Federal Employment Agency, chambers of commerce, the Statistical Institute, etc.

Three key themes were agreed upon on which further analysis within the framework of the Torino Process will be based, namely:

1. Work-based learning in formal education,

2. Work-based learning and adult education, and

3. Youth Guarantee.
