Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming part of everyday life, from digital assistants to data analysis tools. In education, it opens new possibilities such as individualized learning, where AI can help teachers adapt teaching content to the diverse needs of students, support in lesson preparation, development of digital competencies, as well as fostering critical thinking and ethical awareness.
To provide support to teachers in a time of rapid technological development, the Pedagogical Institute Zenica, in cooperation with the International Association “Interactive Open Schools” (MIOS) Tuzla, within the project “Strengthening the School System in Three Cantons through Teacher Training and the School Model”, organized an online training on the topic Application of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching. The training was held on January 16, 2026, with the participation of a large number of primary school teachers from the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
The training included presentations on the use of artificial intelligence in the classroom, with a special emphasis on tools that can facilitate lesson planning and delivery for teachers.
The strong response from teachers shows that there is both interest and need for such forms of professional development, confirming the importance of continuous education in line with technological trends. Accordingly, on January 23, 2026, another training on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching will be organized, with the aim of strengthening the capacities of teaching staff and ensuring a higher quality educational process in schools.
