Organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, a five-day practical training for teachers of secondary vocational schools of mechanical and electrical engineering was carried out in the period from 21.08.2023 to 25.08.2023 at the Hotel “Monti” on Igman. The practical training was realized under the title “The use of digital media in the creation of digital teaching materials”, and the focus was on teaching focused on students and their actions.
The educational team consisted of: Jessica Krecker and Olga Harms from Germany, and Rizah Kabaši from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of the training was for participants to master the practical skills of designing and creating their own digital content, and to apply it with the support of external digital media in the teaching process. In addition to 16 teachers of secondary vocational schools, the training was also attended by Amila Herceg Hodžić, an expert advisor in the field of education from the Pedagogical Institute Zenica. The topics implemented in the practical training were the following: developing and drafting a project idea, available educational resources (Open Educational Recources), creating universal interactive tasks, interactive content for Learning Management System management systems, using artificial intelligence in the creation of teaching material, making a video for the purpose of teaching and refining and finalizing the video. This training continued in another five-day term from 26.08.2023 to 30.08.2023, so that seven mechanical and electrical teachers from secondary vocational schools will be trained in the Zenica-Doboj Canton to design and apply digital materials for learning and teaching.
