In accordance with its regular activities foreseen in the Annual Work Plan, the Pedagogical Institute Zenica continues to provide continuous support to teachers through professional development, with the aim of ensuring that their knowledge is always up-to-date and that additional skills necessary for modern teaching are developed.
Accordingly, on November 26, 2025, in cooperation with the Mixed Secondary School Tešanj, a one-day professional seminar entitled “Improving the quality of practical teaching in secondary education” was organized. This meeting brought together teachers of practical teaching in the electrical and mechanical engineering professions, creating a space for the exchange of experiences, ideas and inspiration. Teachers from twelve secondary schools of the Zenica-Doboj Canton took part in the seminar, namely:

9. Technical School Zavidovići,
10. Mixed secondary school Maglaj,
11. Technical School Tešanj,
12. Mixed secondary school Tešanj,
During the day, classrooms and workshops turned into a space for dialogue, exchange of ideas and joint reflection on the future of education.
Participants had the opportunity to share examples of good practice, discuss the challenges they face every day, and jointly seek solutions that will make teaching more quality and closer to the needs of students. Special attention was paid to comparing traditional and modern organization of practical teaching, the importance of teamwork, as well as getting acquainted with the latest technologies and tools in electrical and mechanical engineering.
The atmosphere was working, but at the same time friendly and inspiring – teachers showed that with joint efforts they can build teaching processes that follow modern trends and prepare students for the real challenges of the labor market.
The Pedagogical Institute Zenica continues to provide support to teachers, professional associates and all education stakeholders, with a clear goal: strengthening professional capacities and improving the quality of teaching in our canton.
