The Institute for Health and Food Safety Zenica is 18.11.2025. organized a round table entitled “Alarms in child development – when to contact a therapist?” The round table brought together various experts from the fields of public health, speech therapy and psychology, upbringing and education, representatives of educational authorities, centers for early growth and development, and representatives of public and private preschool institutions from the area of Zenica-Doboj Canton with the aim of jointly considering challenges in the early development of children, especially in the segment of speech development, behavior and socio-emotional development.
According to the organizers, the aim of the event is to establish a sustainable approach and create clear guidelines for parents, experts and institutions. The lecturers at the round table were: Head of the School Hygiene Service, Assoc. Dr. Nino Hasanica with the topic “Are problems in speech development a public health problem”, Master of Speech Therapy Nedim Patković with the topic “Speech development in children aged 0 to 6 years” and Muhamed Karčić, Master of Psychology with the topic “Challenges and negative patterns of behavior in the context of emotional development of children”.
