Organized by the Pedagogical Institute of Zenica, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, the XXVIII Cantonal Physics Competition for High School Students was held, hosted by the Public Institution “Muhsin Rizvić” Gymnasium in Kakanj. A total of 107 students participated in the competition, showcasing their excellence from school-level competitions held in 26 schools across Breza, Kakanj, Maglaj, Olovo, Tešanj, Visoko, Vareš, Zavidovići, Zenica, and Žepče. The students competed in three categories:
Category A: Mechanics and thermodynamics,
Category B: Electromagnetism, oscillations, and waves,
Category C: Optics, theory of relativity, and atomic physics.
The top five students in each category qualified for the Federal Physics Competition for High School Students.

The top five participants from Category C will compete in the Federal Physics Competition for High School Students in Category D (comprehensive physics). In Category C at the Federal Physics Competition, competitors who ranked 6th to 10th place at the Cantonal Physics Competition for High School Students in Category C will participate, and they are:

The top three participants in each category were awarded certificates and monetary prizes in accordance with the Criteria for Allocating Financial Resources for Cantonal Competitions for Students, implemented by the Pedagogical Institute in the 2024/2025 academic year.

The competition showcased the exceptional efforts of students, their mentor teachers, and their schools, continuing the tradition of promoting knowledge and science among youth in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
