The training provided for in the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation and the Agreement on Professional Development of German Language Teachers, signed in July 2023 by the Pedagogical Institute Zenica and the Goethe-Institut Bosnia and Herzegovina, began with the first group of
German language teachers on Saturday 7 October 2023. The training was conducted by Mirela Suljagić-Omerhodžić, a tutor at the Goethe-Institut. The Agreement specified cooperation and the implementation of the 10-week training programme “Deutsch lehren lernen” for German language teachers in primary and secondary schools in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, namely Module 6 “Curriculare Vorgaben und Unterrichtsplanung”. The programme includes two seminars with a total of twelve 45-minute sessions at the beginning and at the end of the programme, 10 weeks of online teaching (approx. 120 working hours) and the implementation of a PEP (research project). The second seminar and completion of the training for the first group of teachers is planned for Saturday, 16 December 2023. The coordination of the activities within the DLL programme was carried out by Sanja Hadžihajdić, an expert advisor for education at the Pedagogical Institute Zenica.
