The training of the second group of German language teachers began on Saturday 10 February 2024 under the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation and the Agreement on Professional Development of German Language Teachers, signed by the Pedagogical Institute Zenica and the Goethe-Institut Bosnia and Herzegovina in July 2023. The Agreement specified cooperation and the implementation of the 10-week training programme “Deutsch lehren lernen” for German language teachers in primary and secondary schools in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, namely Module 6 “Curriculare Vorgaben und Unterrichtsplanung”.
The programme includes two seminars with a total of twelve 45-minute sessions at the beginning and at the end of the programme, 10 weeks of online teaching (approx. 120 working hours) and the implementation of a PEP (research project). The second seminar and completion of the training for the second group of teachers is planned for Saturday, 20 April 2024. The training was conducted by Mirela Suljagić-Omerhodžić, a tutor at the Goethe-Institut, and the coordination of the activities provided for in the Agreement was carried out by Sanja Hadžihajdić, an expert advisor for education at the Pedagogical Institute Zenica.
