Within the framework of the EU-funded project “Technical Assistance to Preschool Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, which is being implemented in the period September 2023 – September 2026, pedagogical institutes, institutes and pedagogical institutions have also taken an active role as key partners in the development and improvement of the preschool education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The quality assurance system in preschool institutions refers to self-evaluation and external evaluation, the establishment of a model of continuous professional development of educational workers in the field of preschool education, the development and implementation of a modern preschool curriculum, as well as activities related to increasing the coverage of children with preschool education.
In this regard, a two-day workshop was held in Zenica on 26 and 27 March 2026 for representatives of the relevant ministries of education, pedagogical institutes/institutions/ institutes and the project team. The aim of the workshop was to discuss the jointly achieved project results, establish further steps in the implementation of the developed document models and strengthen cooperation between institutions that play a key role in their application in practice. In addition to the aforementioned two-day workshop, on 25 and 26 March 2026, meetings of the working group working on the development of document models for the continuous professional development of preschool educators (CPD) and the development of curricular modules in preschool education were also held.
Representatives of the Pedagogical Institute of Zenica actively participated in the aforementioned two-day workshops, during which Boris Ćurković, Faruk Hujić, Sanja Berčnik, Nedim Krajišnik and Maja Jukić, as members of the Project Team, presented the key project activities with a special focus on the integration of new concepts into practice.
