The XXIX Cantonal Competition for Primary School Students in Informatics was held on April 25, 2026, at the Elementary School “Musa Ćazim Ćatić” Visoko, organized by the Pedagogical Institute of Zenica. A total of 32 students from 25 primary schools across the canton participated in the competition.
The ceremonial opening of the competition was marked by a special program prepared by the host school. The students were addressed by the school principal, Edin Salošević, and the educational advisor for inclusive education at the Pedagogical Institute Zenica, Amila Herceg Hodžić, who also served as the competition coordinator. Their speeches, filled with encouragement and motivation, further inspired the students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
The students who won the top three places in this competition are:
1. Ali Vračo – Elementary School “Mula Mustafa Bašeskija” Visoko,
2. Ahmed Medić – Elementary School “Safvet-beg Bašagić” Breza,
3. Abdurrahman Kadrić – Elementary School “Enver Čolaković” Breza.
For the top three places, the Pedagogical Institute provided monetary awards in accordance with the Criteria for the Allocation of Funds for Cantonal Student Competitions in the 2025/2026 school year.
Students who achieved the top three positions qualified for the National Competition in Informatics, which will be held on June 6, 2026.
The Pedagogical Institute Zenica extends sincere congratulations to all participants on their achievements, as well as to their teachers who prepared and supported them on the path to success. Such events reaffirm that knowledge, dedication, and cooperation lead to success and encourage students to continue developing their skills and abilities.
