The XXIX Cantonal Competition of High School Students in Informatics was held on April 18, 2026 at the Mixed High School “Hazim Šabanović” Visoko, organized by the Pedagogical Institute Zenica. 48 male and female students from various high schools in the Zenica-Doboj Canton participated in the competition.
The opening ceremony of the competition was marked by a special program prepared by the host school. The students were addressed by the school principal Admir Kovačević and the expert advisor for the field of education – inclusive education at Pedagogical Institute, Amila Herceg Hodžić, who is also the competition coordinator. The messages of encouragement given gave the students additional incentive to demonstrate their abilities.

The Pedagogical Institute provided cash prizes for the first three places, in accordance with the Criteria for the Distribution of Funds for Cantonal Student Competitions in the 2025/2026 school year, while the host school prepared appropriate gifts for the winners. All the awarded students qualified for the National Computer Science Competition, which will be held on May 9, 2026.
The Pedagogical Institute Zenica extends its sincere congratulations to all participants on their achieved results, as well as to their teachers who prepared and supported them on their path to success. Competitions of this type emphasize that knowledge, work and togetherness create the foundations of success and provide students with incentives for further progress.
We express our special gratitude to Mixed High School “Hazim Šabanović” Visoko for their hospitality and dedication to ensure that the competition takes place in the best environment. A carefully prepared program for students and teachers, which was implemented by students from the host school, left a nice memory for all participants.
