Self-Learning Platform of the Pedagogical Institute Zenica is designed as an Open source software for e-learning. It is intended for teachers, expert associates, management of preschool, elementary and secondary schools in the Zenica-Doboj Canton area, and, as such, it contributes to the promotion of the overall concept of professional development of educational professionals in the Zenica-Doboj Canton area.
Moodle (an acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is an Open source software for e-learning. Systems like this one are known as a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) or a Learning Management System (LMS). Moodle is a tool for preparing electronic educational content and online teaching and education. This is a modular system, which means that it consists of smaller units that users can add or change, as needed. The tool facilitates the preparation of new contents using various resources or integrating ready-made, pre-prepared electronic contents. The tool, also, facilitates planning of classes, educations, trainings for self-learning, user management, assessment of knowledge and evaluation, monitoring of activities and communication.
