On April 25, 2025, Grammar School “Visoko” in Visoko hosted the event “Curriculum in My School”. Representatives from the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Pedagogical Institute Zenica discussed the implementation of new teaching plans and programs (subject curricula) at this school with the teachers involved in their development and implementation.
The meeting highlighted both positive experiences and challenges in curriculum application, emphasizing its significance for improving the quality of education. As a modern approach to education, the subject curriculum allows teachers to focus on learning outcomes, giving students the opportunity to develop critical thinking, creativity, and practical skills.
The representatives of the OSCE Mission and the Pedagogical Institute Zenica stressed the importance of continuously enhancing the educational system through the application of subject curricula, which is a key step toward adapting education to the contemporary needs of society. A special segment of the event featured demonstrations of lessons from various subjects, including Psychology, Bosnian language and literature, Biology, Geography, and Mathematics.
These demonstrations served as illustrations of curriculum implementation and its impact on the teaching process, showcasing innovative teaching methods that encourage active student participation and interaction with educational content. Representatives of the Pedagogical Institute Zenica expressed their gratitude to the host, Grammar School “Visoko” Visoko, led by its principal, for their warm welcome and successful organization of the event, emphasizing that the exchange of experiences is of great value for future educational initiatives.
