The final Regional Project Meeting on improving work-based learning quality was held in Neum on May 20 and 21, 2024. At this meeting, participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia discussed the segment related to enhancing quality in secondary vocational education and training schools. The meeting was opened with a presentation of the OeAD Regional Project (Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation) and a discussion on the current state of practical teaching implementation in the region. Legal experts presented the applicable legal framework and challenges in applying legal regulations related to the implementation of practical teaching in secondary vocational education and training schools.
Participants exchanged their experiences related to the training of practical teaching coordinators and engaged in practical exercises. Special gratitude was expressed to Ms. Monika Mott for her years of work and dedication to improving the educational system in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, and she will be succeeded in this role by Ms. Elisabeth Augustin in the upcoming period. The meeting concluded with the definition of next steps and an agreement on the continuation of regular meetings and experience exchange. Aida Salkić, the director of the Pedagogical Institute Zenica, attended the meeting.
