The International Association “Interactive Open Schools” (MIOS) Tuzla organized an online partner meeting on the topic “Systemic Approach in Supporting Children – The Role and Cooperation of Partners”. The meeting was held on June 2, 2026, at the MIOS Training Center Tuzla, within the project “Strengthening the School System in Three Cantons Through Teacher Training and the School Model”. The aim of the meeting was to improve cooperation between schools and local community partners, as well as to strengthen systemic support for children and youth.
Participants contributed to further strengthening cooperation and providing better support to students through the exchange of experiences, practical examples, and joint discussion. The atmosphere was marked by constructive dialogue on the challenges and opportunities offered by partnerships between schools and institutions.
On behalf of the Pedagogical Institute of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Aida Salkić, Director, and Amila Herceg Hodžić, Senior Advisor for Education – Inclusive Education, attended the meeting. The model schools in Zenica-Doboj Canton within this project are Druga osnovna škola Zavidovići and OŠ “9. septembar” Tešanj, whose representatives participated alongside colleagues from model schools in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
Representatives of OŠ “9. septembar” Tešanj presented project activities carried out in the previous period in cooperation with the Red Cross Tešanj, JU Museum Tešanj, and the company EBTEH Tešanj, under the theme “Students as Ambassadors of Humanity and Cultural Heritage”.
This meeting represents an important step in strengthening systemic support for children and youth through cooperation between schools and local community partners.
