The 22nd Cantonal English Language Competition for 9th-grade primary school students in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, organised by the Pedagogical Institute Zenica, was held on 24 May 2026 at Primary School “Alija Nametak” Buci – Visoko. The students and staff of the host school, led by the headmistress, warmly welcomed all participants and guests and did their utmost to make the Competition a memorable experience for everyone involved. As part of the welcoming programme, the host students and teachers showcased their diverse talents and creativity while the visit to Park Ravne left a particularly strong impression on the visitors. The Competition was sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Zenica-Doboj Canton. Headmistress Amina Buza and the coordinator of the organisation and implementation of the Competition Sanja Hadžihajdić, an expert advisor for education at the Pedagogical Institute Zenica, delivered welcoming speeches and declared the Competition open.
Thirty students from 25 primary schools, winners of the municipal/city competitions held on 25 April 2026, participated in the Cantonal Competition. Together with their teachers, these talented and dedicated students invested considerable effort in achieving this success. Reaching the Cantonal level was itself already a significant accomplishment, and all participants proudly represented their schools and municipalities/cities.
The four highest-ranked students at the 22nd Cantonal English Language Competition for Primary School Students in the Zenica-Doboj Canton were:
