The final professional and informational presentation titled “Financial Mechanisms of the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of BiH“ was held at the Congress Center of Hotel Hills in Ilidža. The event gathered a large number of representatives from cantonal authorities, local communities, public institutions, businesses, and the non-governmental sector. Among the participants were representatives of the Pedagogical Institute Zenica.
The presentation highlighted financial mechanisms and operational plans for upcoming public calls, formal-legal conditions for applying, and support for the implementation of programs, projects, and similar environmental protection activities through the Fund’s Public Call.
By attending this event, the Pedagogical Institute emphasizes that educational institutions play an active role in the broader social dialogue on environmental protection. It underlines the importance of education in raising students’ awareness of the significance of protecting the environment, understanding sustainable development, and being prepared to engage in projects related to energy efficiency and conservation of natural resources.
In curricula and teaching programs, topics related to environmental education, energy efficiency, and sustainable development are increasingly integrated. Through both classroom teaching and extracurricular activities, schools encourage students to develop ecological responsibility and actively participate in initiatives such as tree planting, recycling campaigns, and energy-saving projects. In this way, schools position themselves as partners to local communities in building a healthier and more sustainable society.
The new financial lines of the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of BiH also open opportunities for educational institutions to apply for projects in energy efficiency and environmental protection, further strengthening the connection between education and sustainable development.
