After two trainings in 2023, implemented as part of the project “Integrated Approach to Social Inclusion”, implemented by Caritas Switzerland in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Pedagogical Institute Zenica and Roma Support Center “Romalen” Kakanj, another training was held on the topic “Methodological and didactic aspects of work in an inclusive department”.
This training was intended for primary school subject teachers and secondary school teachers from the Municipality of Kakanj. The training was held on January 17, 2024, in the premises of the Club of Friends of the Foundation “Muharem Berbić” Kakanj and included three subtopics:
- Inclusive department – characteristics, dynamics and experiences of participants;
- Approaches, methods and forms of work in an inclusive classroom and
- Individual education program / NPP for semi-skilled occupations.
During the training, teachers had the opportunity to give their observations on these topics and transfer experiences from inclusive classes, think about the possibilities of different approaches, methods and forms of work they heard about, and plan how to apply everything in practice and how to face the challenges and obstacles that inclusive education brings. Participants agree that a lot of effort is needed to motivate all students to work, successfully develop their work habits and understand the needs of those who are temporarily or permanently in a state of special educational need. The organizer of the training was Amila Herceg Hodžić, expert advisor for the field of education – inclusive education from the Pedagogical Institute Zenica.
