Organized by the Pedagogical Institute of Zenica, on February 7, 2026, the XXIX Cantonal Competition for Secondary School Students in Physics was held at the premises of JU Gymnasium “Visoko” in Visoko. Thus, Visoko became the center of knowledge and science, hosting the best young physicists from secondary schools of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, ready to achieve results through logic and the laws of nature that will take them further to the federal level of competition.
Students from ten municipalities/cities participated: Breza, Kakanj, Maglaj, Olovo, Tešanj, Vareš, Visoko, Zavidovići, Zenica, and Žepče. A total of 25 schools with 111 students were registered, all of whom were the best at their school-level competitions. They were divided into three areas: Area A (Mechanics and Heat) – 45 students, Area B (Electromagnetism, Oscillations, and Waves) – 38 students, Area C (Optics, Theory of Relativity, and Atomic Physics) – 28 students
The top five students from each area qualified for the Federal Competition in Physics for Secondary School Students.

The top five students from Area C will compete at the Federal Physics Competition in Area D (Comprehensive Physics). At the Federal Competition, participants who placed 6th to 10th in Area C at the Cantonal level will also compete. They are:

Awards and Acknowledgments
The top three students in each area received diplomas as well as monetary awards, in accordance with the Criteria for the Distribution of Financial Resources for Cantonal Student Competitions implemented by the Pedagogical Institute of Zenica in the 2025/2026 school year.
We extend our gratitude to the host of the competition, Gymnasium “Visoko,” whose hospitality and technical preparation ensured that everything ran smoothly.
