Competitions are one of the ways to motivate students and develop their interest in certain teaching content and as such are a means of self-directed learning that makes students more responsible in planning and achieving their own goals. As part of its regular program activities, the Pedagogical Institute Zenica, as an administrative organization within the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, plans to implement competitions for primary and secondary school students in the 2023/2024 school year.
When it comes to competitions for primary school students, they will be implemented in the subjects of mathematics, physics and English at the municipal/city level and the cantonal level. In addition to the three subjects that will be included in the municipal/cantonal competitions, a cantonal competition in informatics for primary school students will also be organized. Cantonal competitions for secondary school students will be implemented in mathematics, physics, informatics and German.
The competition plan for primary school students and the competition plan for secondary school students have been submitted to all primary and secondary schools in the Zenica-Doboj Canton with the indicated guidelines and propositions, and they are aligned with the Instruction regulating all important issues of organizing and conducting school, municipal/city and cantonal competitions for primary and secondary school students in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
