In the period from 13 to 15 December 2023, the Zenica Pedagogical Institute, in cooperation with UNDP, implemented training on the topic “Protection of Children in the Digital Environment”. The trainings were held at three locations in Zenica, Tešanj and Visoko, and were attended by students from ten primary and secondary schools. In addition to them, the training was attended by teachers, pedagogues and school principals, and they had the opportunity to listen to an expert in the field of cybersecurity and a permanent court expert for digital forensics, M.Sc. Vahidin Đaltur.
The goals of these trainings were to introduce the dangers and risks in the digital environment, as well as methods of protection. The education was very useful, especially since students mostly use digital technology to communicate with others, unaware of the risks it brings. In the coming period, students, with the support of their homeroom teachers and pedagogues, will have the task of transferring their knowledge and impressions from this education to other students, during class community classes.
