BuildSkills Academy is an Erasmus+ project funded by the European Union aimed at developing skills and competences in the construction sector, with an emphasis on green and digital transitions, offering a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and best practices. The national BuildSkills Academy event, held on November 4, 2025. in Sarajevo at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, brought together representatives of institutions, educational institutions and businesses from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union.
A special guest of the event was Susanne M. Nielsen from the European Training Foundation (ETF), who presented European initiatives and successful models of developing professional competences for various economic activities.
During the event, the innovative BuildEnrichedSkills methodology for improving courses was presented, as well as pilot programs developed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including: Energy Management in Construction and Circular Waste Management in Construction.
Plans were also presented to strengthen cooperation between the education sector and the economy, with the aim of creating a competent and adaptable workforce that meets modern market needs.
The event was attended on behalf of the Zenica Pedagogical Institute by Aida Salkić, director, and Sanja Hadžihajdić and Aldiana Nuhanović, expert advisors in the field of education.
