Online training “Classroom Climate”

Expert advisors for education affairs at Pedagogical Institute Zenica, together with director Aida Salkić, were participants in the online training “Classroom Climate – How to Manage a Class Effectively and Minimize Factors That Negatively Affect Teaching”, organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The training lasted from May 5, 2023 to June 23 ,2023 and the lecturer/educator was Brahim Ouhhadou, an educator from the Institute for Technological Advancement of the German State of Hesse (Dr.-Frank-Niethammer-Institut). The training was implemented via the Big Blue Button platform.

Some of the topics covered were: causes and manifestations of disruption in teaching; prevention and intervention; analysis and creation of opportunities for conversation; methods of conducting conversations; classroom management; the role of teachers in the quality of teaching; communication models. At the same time, the training included: interactive work of the training participants, work exercises, film analysis, situation simulations, as well as documentary films – lectures and many examples from practice.  As a large number of teachers cite disruption in class as a key stress factor, it is necessary to ensure a smooth learning and teaching process through understanding why disruption occurs, which can be caused by students, teachers and external factors (social factors).
